Buffalo County Community Partners kicked off their 2012 Annual Fund Campaign with their second Kickers Kick-Off, held on Friday, June 29th at the Unviersity of Nebraska at Kearney’s (UNK) Foster Field.

The event was held to jump start the 2012 campaign and help build awareness of Community Partners and the 2020 Vision to “Elevate Issues, Engage People, Empower Youth, and Evaluate Progress.”

Community members who came had opportunities to join in a tailgate, enter to win raffle prizes, and get pictures and autographs (sponsored by New West Sports Medicine) with the Nebraska kickers who participated in the event: Brett Maher (current Husker kicker), Kyle Larson (former Husker and Bengal kicker), Spencer Lindsay (Husker freshman kicker), and Drew Farlee (Loper freshman kicker).

Community Partners’ goal for the evening was to reach $80,000 of their total $140,000 campaign goal. A special thanks to generous donors like Dr. Joel Johnson, and major event sponsors: New West Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery and Kearney Clinic. This event wouldn’t have been a success with our sponsors!
Thank you to additional event sponsors: ESPN Radio, Patty Geist Photography, Cash-Wa Distributing, UNK, NRG Media, Pepsi, & Sports Village. And thank you to the community members who came out for the event!
