Affordable Housing Goal 

 GOAL: Increase adequate number of affordable housing units as evidenced by data to be gathered in an updated county wide housing study.

Baseline: To be determined by countywide housing study.
Target: Make progress toward target as specified in countywide housing study.

Rationale

Safe, sanitary and affordable housing is an important civic infrastructure issue to enhancing the health status of a community. It also supports the effort to recruit and retain new professionals to an area. Lack of affordable housing can serve as a barrier to enhancing the labor pool of a community. This goal will require periodic re-evaluation based on actual population growth and adjustments in economic indicators.
