| Buffalo County Community Partner Grants | ||||||||
| The Community Partners grant philosophy is to make funds available to assist groups in collaborative efforts that will lead toward the attainment of Buffalo County’s 5 Strategic Directions for the 2020 Vision: Active Living & Healthy Eating, Eliminate Health Disparities, High Impact Prevention Services, Healthy Homes & Sustainable Communities, and Injury-Free Living. Grant funds provide the potential for new coalitions and seek to effect lasting change for betterment in quality of life for Buffalo County residents. | ||||||||
| Types of Grants | ||||||||
| Three grant opportunities are available to the community – 1) project grants 2) simple grants 3) youth grants.1) Project Grants (Unavailable): Quarterly grant awards will be available for application for awards up to $20,000. All proposals must relate to the attainment of the Community Partners 10 priority health goals and demonstrate collaboration with other organizations or other types of partners. New in 2006, all grant applicants are encouraged to address environmental strategies. These grant applications will be accepted quarterly: January 10, April 10, July 10 and October 10. Electronic applications are preferred. Please allow 60-90 days for the processing of your application.2) Simple Grants (Currently Available): Grant awards of up to $1,000 are available throughout the year as matching funds for a project or service. Matching grants or non-matching grants of up to $1,000 are available throughout the year for educational activities that promote goal attainment. All grant applicants are encouraged to address environmental strategies. Applications are accepted throughout the year and preferred electronically. Please allow 30-60 days for the processing of your application.3) Youth Grants (Currently Available): Youth to Youth Grants are available to youth groups throughout the year. Go to Buffalo County Youth Advisory Board Link to learn more about this grant process. *Grants must be submitted 60-90 days ahead of the project. Please contact our office for deadline information.The lead organization applying for funds, or its fiduciary, must be a 501(c)(3). Priority of funds will be given to projects or educational activities, which show collaboration with other organizations and Community Partners Goal Work Groups. | ||||||||
