Buffalo County Community Partner Grants

The Community Partners grant philosophy is to make funds available to assist groups in collaborative efforts that will lead toward the attainment of Buffalo County’s 5 Strategic Directions for the 2020 Vision: Active Living & Healthy Eating, Eliminate Health Disparities, High Impact Prevention Services, Healthy Homes & Sustainable Communities, and Injury-Free Living. Grant funds provide the potential for new coalitions and seek to effect lasting change for betterment in quality of life for Buffalo County residents.

Types of Grants

Two grant opportunities are available to the community: simple grants and youth grants.

Simple Grants (Currently Available): Grant awards of up to $1,000 are available throughout the year as matching funds for a project or service. Matching grants or non-matching grants of up to $1,000 are available throughout the year for educational activities that promote goal attainment. All grant applicants are encouraged to address environmental strategies. Applications are accepted throughout the year and preferred electronically. Please allow 30-60 days for the processing of your application.

Youth Grants (Currently Available): Youth to Youth Grants are available to youth groups throughout the year. Go to Buffalo County Youth Advisory Board to learn more about this grant process.

*Grants must be submitted 60-90 days ahead of the project. Please contact our office for deadline information and to notify staff of your interest in the grant award. The lead organization applying for funds, or its fiduciary, must be a 501(c)(3). Priority of funds will be given to projects or educational activities that show collaboration with other organizations and Community Partners Goal Work Groups.
